The n'lock is a one of a kind security and storage system. With the simple turn of a key your bike is secured from theft and stores flat against walls, in cars and on car racks.

 

The n'lock has proved so successful it has been awarded a gold medal at the 2007 Geneva invention's exhibition and a Eurobike Design Award in 2008.

With n’lock, parking the bike becomes uncomplicated, when shopping, parking in front of a restaurant, at school, and in many other situations.

 

It is not possible to ride the bicycle 

 

More than 80% of bike thefts are opportunistic and often dumped after the thief has completed their ride. With the turn of a key, the bike is safe for short and medium term parking. In combination with a cable lock, your bike will be the least attractive to steal among hundreds, even at train stations.

With the release of the n'lock Plus (October 2009) a cable will be integrated into the n'lock, further enhancing the security of the bike while maintaining the single key lock facility.

The n'lock can be fitted on to any type of bicycle, with two sizes of goosenecks and two sizes of quills. Mounting is simple and takes only 3 to 5 minutes. Additional weight to a normal stem is 2-300 grams, much less than any other reasonable locking device. The n'lock is protected by international patents, is engineered in Switzerland and manufactured in Taiwan.

 

Safety features

  1. It is not possible to turn the key while riding. The n’lock requires both hands to engage the lock.

  2. There are two independent functions to keep the locking pin in place.

  3. There is no play in the steering when the n'lock is not engaged.

  4. Highest quality material has been used; forged aluminium and hardened steel.
     

n'lock Operation

  1. The normal riding position has the key secured into the n'lock. (This can be modified by end user, to allow for key removal in any position).

  2. To park or store, both hands are required so that no accidental operation is possible. With the left hand, the knob has to be turned counter clockwise by 120° and only in this position can the key be turned to "n’lock" the handlebar. Now, the key is removed.

  3. To return to riding position, insert the key and locate the lock position. As soon as the handlebar is aligned with the wheel, it will snap in "lock" position and the knob will return automatically into its safeguard position pointing to the front.
