Lithium Based Batteries

A lot of suppliers are now starting to offer Lithium (Li) based batteries, making claims that they are lighter and better than other technology. This is true, but only part of the story. If you read our section on batteries you will see there are 4 types of Li cells. Three are commonly referred to as Li Ion or LiPo cells, the fourth is LiFePO4. Watch these videos to see LiPo cells in action. DO NOT try this at home.

eLation Installation

The following are some pictures from the installation manual.

Cranks have been replaced with eLation set.	Bike Mount Bracket is secured with Flex-Clamps. This clamp method allows the kit to fit a variety of tube shapes while spreading the load to avoid tube crimping.
Drive chain is attached and auto tensioned.	Motor Mount Bracket is adjusted to align drive chain.
Perfect alignment is achieved for drive chain.	Torsion bar is used to counter the fantastic Torque of eLation
Drive System and Battery sit low and centred. Battery Mounts do not damage bike yet hold tight.	Speed is controlled by Throttle. This is combined with Voltage LEDs and On/Off switch.
